About the Role
Adobe’s Genuine Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager – Machine Learning to lead a dynamic group of ML engineers. This high-impact role focuses on designing, building, and scaling advanced ML solutions to tackle challenges such as account sharing, trial abuse, payment fraud, and fake accounts using behavioral analytics and anomaly detection.
As a technical and people leader, you’ll manage the end-to-end machine learning project lifecycle—from ideation and prototyping to deployment and optimization at scale. You’ll work cross-functionally with product managers, engineering leads, and AI/ML strategists to contribute to Adobe’s long-term vision and business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of ML engineers building innovative AI/ML solutions
- Drive end-to-end execution of ML projects, from research to deployment
- Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to identify and develop ML use cases
- Ensure ML systems are scalable, efficient, and accurate
- Apply and standardize best practices in model training, validation, and monitoring
- Partner with infrastructure teams to optimize deployment and inference
- Stay current on ML advancements and integrate relevant innovations into product strategy
- Promote Responsible AI, including fairness, explainability, and robustness
- Align ML strategies with business goals and support long-term AI initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in ML and 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven expertise in anomaly detection and fraud prevention techniques
- Strong background in unsupervised/semi-supervised learning (e.g., autoencoders, isolation forests)
- Experience in NLP-based fraud prevention (transformer models, identity validation)
- Hands-on with ML tools: Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Proficient in Python and familiar with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Skilled in building large-scale Spark-based data pipelines
- Experience with MLOps, model tuning, and large-scale ML deployment
- Strong technical leadership, team mentorship, and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of graph-based ML, personalization, and ranking algorithms
- Familiarity with distributed computing: Ray, Spark, Dask
- Experience in transitioning ML research into production environments
- Exposure to behavioral analytics systems in fraud detection domains
